So Laiken is eight and a half months now and I am wondering how in the world all this time has past in the blink of an eye. On December 16th, her eight month birthday, she started saying Da-da...or sometimes and long string of da-da-da's, either way I am quite jealous! Then around the 28th she just decided to start sitting up all by herself...for more than a couple minutes! Oh wait, there's more, on the 29th after her Daddy had his second carpal tunnel surgery I went to pick her up from her Nana and she reached for me for the first time and then turned around and stuck her tongue out at Nana!! Too funny!! She is really blooming and her little personality is really starting to show. Laiken is making faces(as you can tell from the Christmas card) and really finding her voice!

She had a wonderful First Christmas and opened her gifts herself. Loving all the wrapping paper and the bows! Nana bought her tons of clothes that we both love and can't wait to dress her up in!

Santa brought her a jumperoo that she adores...even though her feet don't quite touch the ground.

Uncle Gregg, Aunt Maria, Nick, Troy, Audrey, and Jennifer came to visit from Los Fresnos on their way to Colorado and Laiken enjoyed playing with all of them...especially Jennifer and Audrey! All in all we had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to many, many more!

Seven Months

Around Thanksgiving was VERY busy for us...that is why I am updating all at once. Roddy had carpal tunnel surgery and then I had surgery on my pinkie for Timmy the Tumor~I thought I had a cyst on my finger and it turned out to be a tumor that needed to be removed before it caused nerve damage~ and then Roddy had carpal tunnel surgery on his other hand just last week. So shuffle that in with the holidays and the crazy weather and you have a recipe for a neglected blog. I apologize and will try to do better in 2010!

I think she was a little tired of the camera after a few good pictures. =)
