The mighty kidney bean!!
Wow, can you believe it?? Time has seemed to fly lately! Still feeling good, although the sleepiness is increasing and I haven't had any morning sickness but lunch and dinner haven't really been too appealing lately. (Although last night we went to Bosses' Pizza for Jordan's 7th birthday, YUM) Tums and ginger ale have been my two buddies here lately. =)
As for baby, by the end of your second month of pregnancy, your baby is about the size of a pinto bean and is approximately 14 to 20 mm long. (In the sonogram pics below, baby measured 8.5 mm, just to give you an idea of how much we are growing now.) Eyelid folds and ears are forming. Your baby's eyes are still very wide apart on the sides of her head, but will eventually center themselves out. The tip of the nose is actually present at this time as well.

The tubes that lead from the throat to lungs are branching and your baby's torso is getting longer and beginning to straighten out. Just a few weeks ago, your baby's arms were tiny buds. Now the elbows are actually present and the arms and legs extend forward and have grown longer. Fingers and toes are becoming visible also.

Our next appointment is on September 19th, we will be 9 weeks and 1 day by then and I was told we will have another sonogram so look forward to some more pictures soon!!

Another week down! It is great that you are not having morning sickness issues... it is not pleasant! Hopefully you will get lucky and not have any episodes.
My next appointment is September 19th, too.
Looking forward to seeing your next sonogram pictures!
Hope week 8 is a good one!
