Daddy's Crazy!!

So Roddy sends me these and tells me that Laiken has been writing emails and wants me to pick us up some lotto tickets on my way home so that we can all be home together!! =) Not bad for a two month old!! Speaking of which, my baby is two months old today!!! =( How in the world has this much time gone by?!? She has learned to "talk" a lot more, reach for toys and even roll from her belly to her back...although she has only done this once and it may have been an accident she still did it and all on her own!!

So Laiken went to her great aunt Cordie's 60th birthday party and had a great time!! It was her very first Luau!!

Great Strides 2009

This is the 5k walk we do every year to support Sam & Mandy for Bubba, CF and a cure found!!

UGH...

So today is my first day back at work and boy is it hard to leave my sweet little Laiken!! =( I know she is in the best possible care with her Nana! Her Nana is so great that she offered to come to our house so that Laiken can be in her own house and Roddy and I don't have to tow all of her stuff around town! What an awesome Nana! Now although I know she is perfectly fine...I on the other hand can't say the same...all I know is we are stepping up our lotto playing!! =) I mean Laiken and I have been together every single day since August (when she was conceived)so to have to leave her just sucks! So, I leave with UGH, that's the best I could come up with to describe this whole experience. Oh, and sorry I haven't updated much...I was spending all my precious time with my precious baby.

Today we went to visit Laiken's great great grandmother!! She just turned 92 at the beginning of May. Dee-Dee absolutely loved her...can you blame her?!? =)

5 Weeks!!

Wow, where has all our time gone?!? How in the world is my baby 5 weeks old?!? Well, she has really discovered her voice in the past week or so and I tried to catch it on video:



Laiken you have really opened our eyes to a whole new world, you amaze us everyday and I can't explain all the love we feel for you. I guess that is what it means to be a mommy!! Your Daddy and I can't wait to spoil you and take you places we have never been and places we have and experience everything through your eyes! But don't grow up too fast, we keep hearing you will do that, so we are trying to cherish every moment, every smile, every coo, cause once it's past you can't get it back. Love you baby!!

So our friend's Alison and Rod got engaged on her birthday in March, any of you who know Alison know her birthday =), and when she came by to visit today she brought me this:


What an honor, and a super cute way to ask!! I was so tired from having two appts. that day that I hope she knows how excited I am! Now what a better way to motivate me to lose my baby weight...better get movin', the wedding is in September!! =)
